Travel to Conference Venue

Harnack-Haus is situated in the leafy Dahlem district of southwest Berlin, close to the Free University of Berlin and easily accessible by public transportation. The Dahlem district offers a peaceful environment with historic university buildings, botanical gardens, and museums. Cafés and restaurants are within walking distance.

By Air:
Berlin is served by Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), approximately 30 km from Harnack-Haus.

  • By public transport: From BER, take the FEX (Flughafen-Express) or regional trains (RE7, RB14) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), then follow the instructions below for travel by train/U-Bahn. Total travel time: ~50–60 minutes.

  • By taxi or ride-share: Approx. 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic.

By Train:
From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station):

  • Take the S-Bahn (S7 or S75) to S+U Zoologischer Garten,

  • Then change to U-Bahn U9 (direction Rathaus Steglitz) and get off at U-Bhf Spichernstraße,

  • Switch to U3 (direction Krumme Lanke) and exit at U-Bhf Thielplatz.
    Harnack-Haus is a 5-minute walk from Thielplatz station.

By Car:
Harnack-Haus is approximately 20–30 minutes from the city center via A100 and A115. Limited parking is available on-site.
